Summer Vacation comes to an end..

Well this has been a very fun filled week. School is now started and we are enjoying every moment of these last beautiful days of summer.

To start the week off Bella found out she is in Mrs.Robacks 1st grade class (the teacher she wanted). She is got to go pick out her desk and catch up with her buddies before school started.
We got to have a visit with our sweet Miss Wendy. She made us tea and played the piano for the kids.

The Garden is growing pumpkins are getting bigger and sunflowers are blooming and my artichoke plant is doing really well.

Archer had a play day at pre-school. He got to see Mrs. Brown and his friends.

Our big girl started 1st grade this week. She was very excited to be at school all day and eat lunch with her friends and ride the bus home. We all were a little sad and happy to see her go, the time fly’s when you are having fun.

The first of many lunches I packed for school.

Ariel and Flower have been around quite a bit the past week. Flower is still very unsure of us but lets us check him out as long as we don’t get to close or make too much noise.

Nonna found a prize on the side of the road with a free sign on it. Of course it didn’t work but papa fixed it. Archer got a whole week of fun before the back tire quit working but he did have a good time.

Papa and Bella have been enjoying the Kohlrabi from the garden.

On Friday was archer's Godmothers Birthday. He picked her a flower from the garden and picked out a very beautiful spounge bob card he just knew she would want

Happy Birthday Auntie Nicole!

On Friday Jake rode with the local firefighters some of who were going across the country to the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.  He said it was a pretty amazing thing. 40 of them started in Tacoma and pick up a few along the way. About 20 were going all the way they will be meeting up with firefighters from all around the country who will also be riding. Please pray for there safety.

Saturday Jake and I cut wood and burnt the brush from all the limbs Hogan cut from the tree.

While we did that the kids "helped" Papa wash his boat.

This was a week also of blackberries picking. My girlfriend Christy and I picked and made jam. We also picked with the LaVoie’s and Bella and I made pie.

Bella made a little pie she took to Great-Grandma & Great Grandpa.

We took the kids to Seattle yesterday. Went to Pike Place Market and the waterfront, the weather was amazing and we had a great time.

When we got home Papa asked if the kids wanted to go test the boat motor he had been working on at the lake. As you can tell by the picture they didn’t have any fun.
